ELECTION JUDGES SOUGHT FOR WESTERLY CREEK METROPOLITAN DISTRICT DIRECTOR ELECTION
The District is seeking up to 10 volunteers to serve as election judges for the District’s upcoming director election which will be held on May 8, 2018. Election judges are responsible for counting the mail ballots received for the District’s election. To be an election judge a person must be 18 years of age or older, registered to vote in the State of Colorado, cannot be a candidate for office, and cannot be related to the candidate to the second degree or be his/her spouse or common law partner. Counting of the ballots may begin as early as April 23, 2018, and will continue until all ballots are counted. It is anticipated that most counting will take place on Friday, May 4, 2018 through Election Day, Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Election Judges count the ballots in sets of three and may participate for as little as 1 hour or several hours. Each Election Judge will be compensated $150 in accordance with Colorado law. Within 7 days of appointment, each Election Judge is required to complete an Acceptance of Appointment form and the Self-Affirming Oath of Election Judge and participate in an online training which lasts approximately 1 hour.
